Take part and volunteer in Sydney's largest recreational cycling event the Spring Cycle, on Sunday 16 October. A NEW online registration is now open, so make sure you register early to secure your favourite position. Bicycle NSW will need an army of volunteers, so tell your friends and family and make the 2011 Spring Cycle the volunteer experience that makes a difference.
Many of our volunteers have been able to develop useful skills, and used volunteering as practical experience in furthering their careers, while some volunteers simply partake for the love of volunteering for a good cause.
Volunteers are required for many types of roles including: route marshalling, rest stop assistants, logistics, bike mechanics and many more. Volunteers can also help with pre-event administration and logistics work.
Register online at http://www.bicyclensw.org.au/content/volunteering-opportunities-spr...
Volunteer benefits:
The benefits of becoming a volunteer are not just for Bicycle NSW and the cycling community, but also for the volunteers themselves. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community and meet a variety of people from all walks of life. You will have fun while putting your talents to good use when you become part of the Bicycle NSW crew!
For this we provide every volunteer with the following:
• Pre-event Volunteer briefing and training
• Volunteer goodies bag (just one of our ways of saying thanks)
• Morning tea or lunch provided, depending on your station
• Opportunity to win some fantastic prizes for Volunteers only
• Friendship and camaraderie of being part of the Volunteer team
• Satisfaction and social gratitude of helping others
• A fun and exciting day out
• Hands on work experience for students (references provided if requested)
Online Registrations are now open, or if computers aren't your thing, please call Tony Henderson on 9704 0809 or e-mail volunteer@bicyclensw.org.au
